The unit AI is terrible. The enemy units are too strong really.
Having chosen the archer specialty it should not take two volleys from full windows, fully upgraded archers to kill a single archer and it takes like 6 to kill a knight just on this aspect alone you lost about 4 points.
Then there is the foot knights who all group together and go for the same unit the archers are shooting for. They randomly walk around the field apparently targeting the farthest possible unit.
What else....hummm....ah yes shouldn't you lose once one of your gates go down and units go into it? That seems like a way to lose a castle to me. Last thing the money part is obnoxious. You spend your money on upgrades and then you are flat broke the next day it makes it almost reasonable to purposely lose twice just for the money
Thanks for the feedback and here is my response.
This is a strategy game. You just described me the strategy a decent gamer would never use. Sorry, I dont want to be rude, but there are gamers out there who keep emailing me about game being too easy. I had to email them a more hardcore version which they really find fun to play (yes, insane mode is like normal to them) To answer some of your questions, to kill a knight, you have spearman/pikeman. Archers are bad vs knights but they have bonus vs melee units. Knights have bonus vs archers. To answer another question, if I made you lose after one of the gates went down, you would be saying "The enemy units are too strong really and I lose one gate and its over, give me some more chance to survive". Units AI makes sure that gates are safe at all times, otherwise they pick up the enemy they think they can beat easily. If I play a strategy game I am unable to play, the simplest way is to blame the game and leave it there or take the challenge to understand game mechanics and beat the hell out of it. I, being a dedicated gamer myself, like to go for the second choice ALWAYS.
Also to make things easier, you may go to strategy guide to get the answer you are looking for.
A strange game. I am not sure I fully understand the message but it has been thought provoking non the less.
The program part is a bit hard to figure out and you will probably get more views if you add one of those mini pictures to the icon leading to the game. Also I don't think you should have rated the game Adult. Mature if not Teen would be much more suitable.
I did enjoy the game though. Keep it up!
It is a good game. I played all the way through and I enjoyed it. I do however have a few critiques.
1: On survivor mode food and sleep don't make much of a difference as food, pep pills, and safehouses are abundant.
2: The roofs in this game are apparently constructed of cardboard as it seems as though every building has at least one roof cave in followed by some 30 or so zombies. Another part of this is if you leave a room than has just had a cave in sometimes zombies either start dropping from the sky or running through a solid wall which is strange....
3: Why don't living humans give xp? Surely a person with a gun is more dangerous than a slowly shuffling zombie.
My nitpicking aside I honestly did enjoy the game and recommend others to play it as well
My only problems were all getting all the antidotes was almost impossible as sometimes they spawned next to cars or on opposite sides of the level together. Sniper is maybe too useful. O and the time still read 21:59 when he gets up....
But anyway i enjoyed this game
I like the changes you have made. such as being able to revive pets, the crafting system, and the more interconnected feeling of the in-game world. The levels are great expanses and the graphics are pretty good.
I have noticed a glitch tho... If you have two of the same shield it says they both equip making it so you cant sell the extra without unequipping your active shield.
I also have a few suggestions on little additions.
1: It doesn't seem you can sell eggs in stores so the only option is to hatch them.
2:Adding hot keys for the quick select bar with the default selection being the hero. Its a little hard to select the things there while still focusing on the battle.
3:It would be nice if there were buttons inside the pop-up menu to switch between inventory, stats, quests, ect. but this isn't really that important just a nice touch.
4: Automatically accept new quests when you talk to a statue. I mean there's never a reason to not accept it right?
Anyway of what Iv played so far this is a good game and I plan to play more. Keep up the great work.
very close to the original game. there's a few glitches tho...for instance when you pick up the hammer half the time you then fall through the floor to the bottom level.
seemed a little easy tho even on harder levels.
the only glitch i noticed is sometimes a wave ends and no new enemies appear and you have to return to the main menu....always happened to me on the 4th level
I don't know what people are talking about. There are no impossible situations you just have to be ready.
People seem to be complaining about bird tree combo and I can't see why its really not hard if you come from above...
I dunno I guess people don't really like games when you have to actually try a bit
Lots of strategy required to win in this one.
Few very minor criticisms:
1.sometimes the little stories don't really make any sense ( scavenge at 8-11 and go to apple tree in corner? or traveling merchant sees a very healthy happy and safe city and feels so bad he gives us food?)
2.scouting seems far more dangerous than it says it is
Tips:
1.You need loads of soldiers
2. Grow your food, only scavenge when you really need it
3. You dont need scientists, scavengers or more than one leader until your base is at least somewhat well established
4. Remember the larger the wall you have the more zombies you have to defend against. sometimes its good to hold off expanding into an inconvenient building or mall/ large farm
Thx for making this fantastic game Sarah Northway!
i got stuck a few times and after i cleared the first temple all the enemies were flashing n kinda teleportin about so i stopped pretty soon after that cuz i wasnt sure what was goin on. but what i played i enjoyed alot and im looking forward to future releases of this :D
